July 4th, 2008

I know this is cheating and goes against my own M4M rules....but I don't care. July fourth was a lot of work. I ran 11 miles in the morning and then stood on my feet all day preparing food and my house for the party. But sometimes theres nothing that makes me happier than being surrounded by family and friends. So here's my M4M....

The party was divided into shifts...family arrived earlier in the day and then as friends started arriving the family was exiting.

Here's a picture of my back patio before the party....please don't pay attention to the pathetic looking hastas surrounding my patio. They were thinned from my mother's yard and transplanted last week....and not looking so hot at the moment. I'm sure they'll come back strong next year...although, I don't know, if anyone can kill a Hasta it would be me!

hubby's aunt and uncle are visiting from NC.

My Mom and Grandma and Thing 1.
My brother on the far left. Grandma was opening her birthday cards. Her 81st birthday was on the 6th but we celebrated it on the 4th with cake.

Thing 1, Thing 2, Thing 3, and Rosie

My Brother and SIL and their family

Happy birthday Grandma
Four generations.
My uncle and his girlfriend......and my brother on the far right.
My sexy husband being all festive with his red shirt....=)
Dan's Dad (on the far right) is visiting us from Texas.
Later in the evening friends started arriving and drinks started pouring.
The kids had a blast on their slip 'n slide and trampoline.
The pyromaniacs (my husband and brother)
My neiborhood looked like a war zone. these pictures do it no justice!
I love this picture. That's Thing 2's silouette.
The kids were all gathered in the driveway watching the fireworks.
The next day we had some family over to help us eat some of the leftovers.

We had a fabulous holiday weekend! Hope you did too!

Looks like a great time!

I know what you mean...it's hard to be on your feet all day after a long run. We have a lot more of those ahead of us:O

We had rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday night - so no fireworks for us. But still got in some partying and eating with friends & family! That photo of your son with the fireworks is a keeper for life - love it!

OK...I just scored a high on Gluttony and Lust (who would have thunk it!?!) I need help! Maybe I should stop flirting with you and the other kimono sisters! Yea Right - Like I could ever stop doing that! You guys are too hot.

Sorry we couldn't make it for the party. Grandma had a great B-Day celebration though. I can see her light up with all the kids and family around her.

You guys always throw wonderful parties, we'll be sure to make it a priority next year.

Keep up the great training Tammy, can't believe how quick it's coming up.

That looks really fun. BTW, your mom is very youthful looking. What great genes to have.
