Bring Out The Finger Violins

I have lots of profound shit I'd like to blog about... world hunger, twelve year old gymnasts and sore ass loser coaches (those Chinese girls DESERVED that gold...I don't care HOW old they are!), my husband who can't follow simple instructions to TAKE THE COOKIES OUT OF THE OVEN, and of course my comedic kids who think I "need to learn to share my money"....but I'm too busy being tired and wallowing in self pity because I'm sick.

Sick and tired.
Literally.
Haven't slept in three nights.
I'm not a pleasant or delightfully charming person ever when I don't get my beauty sleep.
Coughed up a layer of my left lung last night.
Wouldn't you all love to have someone do all your work when you're sick. Someone to take care of YOU when you are sick. Someone to wash your dishes and do your laundry, someone to burn bake cookies for your kids to sell at the garage sale, someone to sort, label, and price all your kid's shit toys to sell at the garage sale, someone to cook your dinner drive to Little Caesars and buy your kids pizza for dinner, someone to drive your children to gymnastics class, someone to do your grocery shopping, someone to take your children to get their hair cut, someone to take your kids school supply and clothes shopping, someone to pick up your dog's shit from your bedroom carpet.....and pay your bills, nurse your kid's boo-boos, and maybe spoon you and stroke your hair when you're wallowing in self pity because you're sick?
Yeah, me too.

I am so sorry to hear that you are sick. Being a mommy and being sick and still having the work of being a mommy....too much. But hey, we have to do it! Feel better soon. I am visiting from All Mediocre.

Well, if I lived closer, I'd be happy to do all those things for you. Except for the spooning and hair-stroking. That might be, well...WRONG.

Hope you get back on your feet soon! Way to go not smoking! You can do it!

Sorry you're not feeling well! Being sick sucks. (I'll hold a picket sign if you want to go on strike!)

Listen to all of these nice, supportive comments-have we all been there or what! But if you want, I will come over and break his kneecaps with my trusy bat, and then we can all gather round and pretend like we are inept and clueless while he writhes around in pain on the floor. And then tell him, 'Gee, I am sorry you are hurting, but you are strong-have I ever told you how strong I think you are? you'll throw this off in no time. and while you're down there, could you reach the remote? I dropped it last night and just didn't have the energy to pick it up." oh, yeah, maybe I should work on my bitterness a bit. Feel better soon!

Oh I feel your pain! Although not sick right now, I have pondered those thoughts as well!! Get well soon! In my mind I am baking cookies for you ;)

Sorry dude :-( Hope you're feeling better soon!

And yes, the Chinese certainly did deserve to win. Our girls crumbled under pressure, literally.

No -- nobody is here to do that. Girl, I know for me it makes total sense that until I became a mom and had no one to do all these things -- and had to keep doing them even when I was so sick I could barely move -- I was so selfish. But I am thankful that I have a hubby that can take the cookies out-LOL!

Rest...you deserve it!

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. It stinks when you are expected to solve every crisis (or not crisis) even when you don't feel well. I am thinking of you and sending you some sunshine and blue water.

I would even happily pay for such services but I still can't find anyone fool enough to sign up.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

I hope you are feeling better today. Sorry you had to feel so crappy. Being mommy means you get no breaks, and that's the worst part. B'c we get sick too, and nobody can run the show like we can. On a side note, I can't seem to find the Olympics on any channels here. I'm a bit pissed, I like to watch. *sigh* What's a girl to do. hang in there!!
