I'm I the only "normal" and psychologically stable person in this world!?

Seriously, show of hands, I NEED to know that there are other psychologically stable people in this world!!!

So I'm about to tell you what happened to me Saturday afternoon...but before I do I have to explain something...I honestly don't know why I feel the need to explain this but that's the neurotic side of me showing through...maybe I'm not so "stable" after all....

anyhoo...my explanation....

I usually start my post the day before I post it. I actually started the draft of my 100 things about me post back on Friday morning...and was planning to post it on Saturday but it was taking WAAAAAYYYY too long! I can't remember exactly how far I got into it but I CAN tell you that I had made it past the part when I confessed to slamming on my brakes to get people off the ass of my car by the time the following incident occurred on Saturday afternoon. WHEW that was a long sentence...

So here's what happened. I'm on my way to the park to meet my 3 other friends for our 6 mile run. I'm on the freeway jamming to a little of Eminem's "Shake That Ass" trying to be all cool in my minivan...oblivious to how oxymoron-ish that is....I'm going about 70...the speed limit is 70...if you read Sunday's post you know that I don't usually go the speed limit....UNLESS....there is someone in front of me. And there was...a big black truck. I was in the left lane....I'm a patient driver...no big deal. I couldn't go around him because there was a car in the right lane blocking the way but I wasn't in a hurry, so whatever. I happen to glance in my rear view mirror and there is some jack ass in a white jalopy riding my ass...I'm talking he couldn't have been more than 2 feet from my fender. I'm thinking...MAN, wasn't I JUST blogging about this!!! But literally...there was no where to go...I couldn't get around the guy in front of me because, like I said, there was a car next to him in the right lane...and I'll be damned if I'm gonna just move over so this bully can just barrel his way down the highway....not gonna do it! So...I slammed tapped on my breaks....

This LUNATIC then does the typical "fit of fury drive by" only instead of PASSING me on the right he drives directly beside my car (on the passenger side) and is literally like 12 inches from the side of my car!!! Did I mention I was on the Freeway....and did I mention we were going SEVENTY MILES/HOUR!!!!! He rode like that for over a mile!!!!!!! He was so damn close to my car that if I rolled my passenger window down I could have just leaned over a little and picked that nasty little nose that he was flaring at me....he was cussing at me through the windows with wild arm and finger gestures and facial distortions that I've never quite seen before..... and his face was turning a scary shade of crimson that I've also never quite seen before. So for the first several seconds I did my typical passive aggressive smile and wave....trying to act all cool, calm, and collected but in reality my heart was - a - thump'n when I realized that this guy was OUT.OF.CONTROL! He ended up finally getting off on the exit that I was suppose to get off on but he was blocking me the entire way so I couldn't get off.....and so I ended up having to go two miles out of my way to turn around at the next exit.

You ~ crazy ~ fucking ~ lunatic!!! What makes a person THAT crazy? Seriously!?

So the moral of this story is...I'm changing my ways...this world is just too unstable for my passive aggressive tendencies...I just may end up getting myself shot by some road raged lunatic next time. All these years I've always thought I was teaching these people a lesson in patience when all I'm REALLY doing is giving them an excuse to shoot my ass.

So that was Saturday.... ps...if you're interested in reading about my training for the marathon you can do so by reading my other marathon training blog.

SUNDAY! Holy Moly it doesn't get any better than Sunday. 60 degrees, the sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, my niece and nephew were over playing with Smurfette (they had spent the night Saturday night...and, yes, we had a little discussion on the proper disposal of pull ups) and we all spent the ENTIRE day outside. We went for a walk, we raked the lawn, we washed the windows, we fertilized the lawn, we did some spring trimming of the landscaping, and some much needed yard sprucing up. The boys had spent the night Saturday night at their friend's house. FAN-TASTIC day!

Around noon the kids were wanting a snack...so I said "why don't you guys all go grab one of the protein bars in the pantry"....they all walk back outside 5 minutes later and Smurfette says to me:

"we decided to have a fiber bar instead....
cause these fiber bars make you fart....
and I really want to fart....."

I take back #94 from yesterday's "100 things about me" post....I stand corrected!

Fast Forward a couple hours.....

The 3 kids were playing and finding a family of "caterpillars"...I didn't have the heart to tell them that those white "caterpillars" were actually the same nasty grubs that were destroying our lawn last year. In case you don't know what a grub looks like....they look like giant maggots....as seen below....

But, whatever, they're kids, they were having fun in their imaginative way collecting a mommy maggot caterpillar and a daddy maggot caterpillar and 3 little baby maggots caterpillars. They all lived in a cozy little house on a little island and lived in happy maggot caterpillar land.

I was trying hard not to freak out while my husband was giving them a lesson on survival and telling them that if they were stranded in the wilderness they could eat them for protein.....omg.....

They were at this for over two hours...the search for the maggots, and then the home set up for the maggots, and then the pretend play with the maggots.... why do I bother buying them toys?

and then they all just disappeared....

they must have gone inside....

So I went in the house to make sure they had listened to Papa Smurf when he told them to be sure to take their shoes off....they were tracking dirt all over the house earlier. I find them in the great room and inspect their feet....yep...they listened....good kids....I go back in the kitchen for a drink of water and hear the following...

5 year old Nephew - "yeah, we'll just say they moved and we'll build them a new house ......and....here, we can put this around them so they don't run away"....

I slowly and ever so calmly walk into the great room to find that these children had moved this family of 5 grubs ON ~ MY ~ COUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

K....all together now....one, two, three,......."EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!"

I wont bore you with the details of the following 10 minute "freak - out" session that occurred....

PS - KATE - The Kate that keeps leaving me wonderful bloggy love comments....I need a link to your blog...it's not listed on your profile and I have no idea how to get to it!

100 random and completely useless pieces of information about me...

1) I have a "thing" about feet. I hate feet. And yet I can't stop staring at feet.

2) As a nurse I can stomach just about anything...vomit, shit, lung loogies, oozing orifices....but a pair of nasty, old, crusty, flaky feet gives me a serious case of the willy shivers.

3) When I meet someone new...in the summer...if they have sandals on...The first thing I look at is their feet.

4) I'm more likely to remember what someone's feet look like than I am to remember their name.

5) It took me a very long time after marriage before I could stand for my husband's feet to touch me in bed.

6) I'm kinda like Eddie Murphy in Boomerang. Not that hubby's feet are gross...they're not....relatively speaking....but they're still feet....

7) I told my husband early on in our relationship that if he ever tried to suck my toe he'd likely end up with a bloody nose...not that he was suggesting it....but I thought I'd just lay the cards out on the table.... I think that's DIS.GUS.TING.

8) I think #7 should definitely be added to the "things you don't say on the first date" list.

9) I also have a "thing" about people pulling my toes. You WILL get kicked in the face.

10) My husband tried that. Once.

11) I have a Mega Millions lottery ticket still in my purse from 3 weeks ago. I could be a multi millionaire right now and don't even know it...which is why I haven't checked it yet...I like to drag out the suspense.

12) I have a cleaning lady.

13) I used to feel embarrassed and ashamed of that fact because as a SAHM I thought it was my "duty" to clean my house...Yeah, I'm over it! I have a cleaning lady and I now say that with PRIDE!

14) If I could afford a "cook" I'd have a cook too!

15) I hate to cook almost as much as I hate to clean.

16) I'm a lazy perfectionist. I actually read that description on someone else's blog and thought...that's a perfect description of myself. I like a clean house but don't like to clean...hence the cleaning lady....there's so many other things I'd rather be doing...like blogging....

17) If I could spend 24 hours with any man in the world (other than my husband) I would want to spend it with Will Smith. I ~ LOVE ~ HIM! He's my 24 hour man.

18) Eminem used to be my 24 hour man.  I found his bad boy image very sexy.

19)
20) I have a clock on the wall of my office that I bought over a year ago that I hate and have never put batteries in or set the time on...it's just hanging there...tormenting me....every. single. day. Why did I buy it? I thought it would look good. It doesn't. Why didn't I return it? I don't know.

21) I want a pool. Really bad.

22) Is there such thing as a yawning disorder? If there is, I've got it. Hmmm, I must go google this...be right back. Wow! There's aLOT of info out there about yawning and I don't have time to read it all. But I yawn aLAWT! I yawn when I'm tired, I yawn when I'm nervous, I yawn in anticipation...like when I know my husband is about to kiss me...he's starting to get a complex. I yawn even when I'm just THINKING about a yawn...like right now...see, there I go again. And it's not just a one yawn thing...nope, I'm a chain yawner....to the point of having my face soaked in tears.

23) I hate rodents. Like, really hate rodents.

24) My guinea pig is a rodent.

25) I hate and am deathly afraid of my Guinea pig.

26) I don't have the heart to stick arsenic in his food bowl but I have no qualms about begging my husband to. (To all the animal rodent lovers out there...please don't send me hate messages)

27) I had a MAJOR attitude problem as a teenager. Some might argue that I still do.

28) But I don't.

29) I often open my mouth before engaging my brain....which means I often walk away from conversations with a mouth full of foot.

30) I have 4 toilets in my house and at most given moments there are at least two of them plugged at a time....like right now for instance.

31) My Guinea pig is vomiting right now...maybe hubby actually went through with it.... uh-oh ....shit...how will I explain Cosmo's death to the kids...maybe I didn't think this through clearly enough...

32) If I loaned you and your family my van....and you found yourself stranded for...say...a week....you wouldn't go hungry....I'm thoughtful that way...

33) The only time my van gets vacuumed and cleaned is when my husband is too embarrassed to drive it...about once a month....he's the only one that has EVER vacuumed my vehicles.

34) I love my husband

35) My van is only 3 months old and it already smells like a fast food factory and curdled milk.

36) I don't embarrass easily.

37) WHEW....Cosmo is drinking his water....looks like hubby held off on the poison....DAMN!

38) I hate roaches even more than I hate rodents!

39) What's the name of that show where people do the nastiest things imaginable to win a pot of cash?...I'm drawing a complete blank right now...anyhoo...there's NO...and I mean nooooooooooooo! amount of money in the world that would entice me to be on that show!

40) My favorite show ever is "So You Think You Can Dance"...when it's on...

41) I like to keep the TIVOed episodes and when no-one is home I learn the dances in my living room.

42) I grew up dancing and miss it....aLAWT.

43) I used to be addicted to playing Euchre on yahoo games....until I discovered the bloggy world.

44) When I was little, I used to have to make sure that every square inch of my skin was covered by blankets when I went to sleep...because the "boogie man" would attack any skin that was showing.

45) I still have to be completely covered to this day...even if I'm roasting hot (which doesn't happen very often)...I have to be covered with a blanket in order to fall asleep.

46) I'm a neurotically punctual person. One time I was interviewing for an ICU position and the manager asked me "Would you say you have more "call ins / absences" or more "tardies"....I said "oh, definitely more call in's" with a very proud emphatic tone...he looked at me funny and I couldn't figure out why....I'm just not a quick thinker.... It dawned on me after the interview why he asked this and why he looked at me funny. I had to hunt him down in my neurotic way to explain to him...."the only reason my "call in's" out number my "tardies" is because I'm a neurotically punctual person...I've been working here for 7 years and can count on one hand the number of times I've punched in late...and every time was due to power failure...my alarm not going off...I'm not a delinquent....but I've called in a few times because I have kids...because kids get sick...and...and mom's get sick...and...k...I'll shut up now...I just had to tell you...because....well....just because". I felt like Elaine from Seinfeld.

47) I was offered the ICU position anyway.

48) I'm 75% Italian and 25% Belgium....I mean Belgian....Is that a word?....But my last name is Greek....no not SMURF....my MAIDEN name....

49) I spent 5 weeks in Italy with my brother and my maternal grandparents when I was 16 yrs old. We spent 2 weeks visiting and staying with family and 3 weeks touring. It was/is, to date, my favorite vacation.

50) I hope to visit Belgium sometime in the future.

51) One of my favorite things to do is sit with my Grandparents learning about my heritage. Going through old photos and documenting who the people in the photo are and who they are to me and my family.

52) I started a heritage scrapbook album last year but kinda fell off the wagon...not enough hours in a day.

53) I have a very keen sense of smell.

54) I can't hear worth a damn.

55) Premature hearing loss runs in my family.

56) I'll be wearing a hearing aid by the time I'm 40....& no I'm not kidding.

57) I'm a very impatient person. I'm an instant gratification kinda gal.

58) But I HATE impatient people behind the wheel of a car.

59) I have a lead foot in the car...I like to drive fast...but I'm courteous about it.

60) If I'm driving down the road and someone is riding my ass...I know they're just being impatient ass holes because I always go at least 10 over the speed limit (I probably shouldn't be admitting that). SO...I will purposely slow down to a snails pace just to piss them off until they get off my ass ....and when the kids aren't in the car I'll actually slam on the breaks...cause there's no quicker way to get someone off your ass than to scare the shit out of em .

61) And then when they drive past in a fit of fury flipping me off....I like to smile and wave.....or wink....or blow them a kiss...or some other smart ass gesture.... I have passive aggressive tendencies like that... and quite mature, aye?

62) My first car was purchased when I turned 16 at a car auction by my step dad. It smelled like mildew. I couldn't get the smell out and none of the electrical worked on the car....no dome lights...no break lights...no power windows...etc. Took the car in to have the electrical stuff looked at after the 1st week of having it and the manager of the shop called to tell me that he wouldn't touch my car because it had been completely submerged in water. I'm talking "sea weed in the tailpipes" submerged. The vision of dead bodies floating in my car forced us to sell the car a week after we bought it. I was devastated.

63) I have an irrational and unhealthy fear of dieing young.

64) My dad died when he was 28.

65) His sister died when she was 34.

66) That fear is what motivates me to scrapbook and journal in this blog. So my kids will know who their mother was and that I love them more than anything in this world.

67) I'm pretty sure I'll have a necrotic sore on my ass by the time I finish this damn post.

68) Deleted #68....trying to clean it up....You'll never know my deepest darkest secret....MWAHAHAHAHA!
69) I REALLY hope my mother's not reading this post!

70) I've been dying my hair since the year I got married at the age of 24. I started getting gray hair when I was in college. Now I'm about 50% gray.

71)
72)
73)
74)
75)
76) .

77)
78) 71 - 78 all deleted for inappropriate content. LOL
79) I fall asleep every night with the TV on...and then when my eyes finally start to get heavy I'll turn the sleep timer on for 60 minutes....if I have to get up in the middle of the night to pee (which happens alawt) I have to turn the TV back on and start the process all over.

80) I'm running out of useless little pieces of information about myself....hmmm.....

81) I gained 75 pounds with my first pregnancy, 45 pounds with my second pregnancy and 60 pounds with my 3rd....I was a little out of control.

82) When my husband and I decided to try for the 3rd pregnancy.... I wanted a girl so bad that I went to the library and took out the "How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby" book.

83) I took notes.

84) For 3 months that book was my bible. We did EVERYthing we were suppose to do to have a girl. But we were unsuccessful.

85) We took the 4th month off from trying because my husband had to travel to Europe for 2 weeks in the middle of my cycle when I was suppose to be ovulating. No big deal we'll pick it up again the following month.

86) He returned home after two weeks to the "love shack" and we got pregnant....we did EVERYthing wrong.

87) I was convinced I was having a 3rd boy and so at my ultrasound I HAD to find out the sex because I needed the last 20 weeks of my pregnancy to get over the disappointment. I didn't want my first reaction when the baby was born to be..."SHIT!...ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! ANOTHER BOY!!?? SOB!!!"

88) When the ultrasound tech told us we were having a girl I jumped up on the examination table (Tom Cruise style) and started doing the cabbage patch dance "oh yeah...I'mhavinagirl....oh yeah....I'mhavinagirl" and then I grabbed the tech's face with both hands and planted a kiss right on her lips....

89) OKAY...#88 isn't true....but it may as well be because that's what was going on in my head!

90) When I went for an ultrasound last week...it was the same woman who told me I was having a girl....I kissed her again...just kidding....I mean about the kissing her part...it really WAS the same woman.

91) The above facts just prove that whatever is meant to be will be and regardless of how much reading and research you do....fate canNOT be changed!

92) I don't remember ever being a girly girl. I loved to dance but that was about the extent of my girly girl tendencies. I have no recollection of playing with baby dolls or playing dress up or liking princesses and such. I remember asking begging for a doll house for Christmas when I was a kid...and I got the doll house but don't remember ever playing with it.

93) I remember riding my bike and playing cops and robbers and cowboys and indians and playing in the field behind my house with the neighborhood kids.

94) My daughter is a girly girl through and through.

95) She gets it from my husband....just kidding!

96) I worked midnights my first year out of college and I can honestly say that I would rather be homeless and destitute.

97) I'd work sifting through shit in a pile (yes I know that's not actually a job...I'm just saying it to make a point) with my bare hands and no face mask before I'd work midnights again.

98) I'm very allergic to cats.

99) I don't like cats.

100) My ass is numb.

Googling McBride

I had a wonderful, fun, relaxing evening with 2 friends last night. Scrapbooking for 7 hours straight! No kids! I needed a break! I was due for a break! Hubby is working unGodly hours lately. It was time!

I'm going to a concert. To a Martina McBride concert. I have no idea who Martina McBride is...I have no idea what Martina McBride looks like...and I have no idea what songs Martina McBride sings.

I know she's country.... which is why I don't know her. I'm just not into country...not because I don't like it but because I like other types of music more....top 40, classic rock, raunchy Eminem rap...... I just payed over $60 for a Martina McBride ticket strictly so I could get out of the house for an adult girls evening with some neighbor friends.

I had to do a Google search on her name to find out what she looks like and what she sings...and I only recognized ONE song. Looks like I'll be downloading some McBride music...I don't want to look like a TOTAL fool at the concert.

The last concert I went to was like that too. I went to a Def Leppard Concert with my husband and two other couples. Do I like Def Leppard? Not particularly. I went because I was invited ....and....well..... just to get out without kids....and to give my friend, Kelly, support as she swooned over Joe Elliot....she's about as close to being a groupie as you can get without actually being a groupie. I'd really like to go to a concert of someone I REALLY enjoy listening to. K...that's my goal...before the end of this year I'm going to buy tickets for a group I like!

Changing the subject....

Was chit chatting with Smurfette in the bathroom yesterday morning and she points out a huge dried up glop of toothpaste on the counter...

Smurfette: "Mom, you know there are little tiny people that live on toothpaste"
Me: "oh yeah? Like in Horton's world?"
Smurfette: "yep...and all these little bumps in the toothpaste?...well, those are the mountains"

See how filthy nastiness can foster imagination?

Marni and anyone else interested: Directions for slashing words...type the following...

word you want to slash

K, obviously that didn't work....Plan C: type the following but DO NOT put spaces between the characters...I'm only putting spaces because otherwise it'll just slash what I'm typing...guess I coulda probably done that on the comments..I'm just not very quick at 8:30 in the morning!

The Tale of Two Ho-Bags

So Smurfette's getting ready for bed last night and the following conversation takes place:

Smurfette: "Mommy, it smells really bad in my room....it smells like ink right next to my baby's crib."

Me: "INK!?" (I'm thinking, how the hell does she even know what ink smells like?)

Smurfette: "Yeah, and now my blanky's gonna smell like ink"

Me: "Let's go sniff....(we go to her room together) "hmmmm, yuck! It kinda smells like pee-pee"...."I hope Gracie didn't pee on your carpet"....I walk around feeling for a wet spot on her carpet....I then get down on all fours sniffing the carpet....can't tell where the odor is coming from.....

Smurfette: "maybe it's C's diaper"

Me: "Huh? What do you mean C's diaper....where?"

Smurfette: "Right there!" and she points to a nasty, pee soaked pull-up sitting in her baby's crib.

C is my niece....she spent the night over 10 days ago......!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hubby went to the Tigers' opening day Monday. He went with a few colleagues and they were in a suite. So he tells me the following story....

We were all (a bunch of business men in their suits) standing around mingling and talking amongst ourselves when out of no where two ho-bags stumble in the door (K...those weren't his exact words...I'm paraphrasing here). Actually, I think he used the term "suite groupies". Suite groupies???!!! Seriously??!!

The ho-bags suite groupies stumbled through the door and said "ummm....mignd ifwe useurbafroom?"

business men: "ummm...no?"

The ho bags suite groupies disappeared into the bathroom. They stumble out 15 minutes later with cigarette in hand very obviously high as a kite...on God knows what. "ummmm....gan we shmoke in ere?" stumble stumble....

business men: "ummmm....no?"

ho-bags suite groupies: "oh...gan we shmoke out dare?" stumble stumble

business men: "ummmm.....no?"

ho-bags suite groupies: "oh....well...anyovyuuu whanna go ou dare an shmoke an makeout" stumble stumble...

business men: "ummmm...no? I think we're good."

There's no moral to this story...just thought it was funny.

Gotcha

=)

I got him good!

I'm not usually an April Fools trickster. I'm just not imaginative enough to come up with a good "gotcha". But a perfectly good "gotcha" fell right in my lap yesterday.

I had my annual visit to the girly doc 2 weeks ago. I expressed a couple concerns to him in my hypochondriac way and he suggested that we do an ultrasound to put my mind at ease. No I'm not pregnant. No I didn't think I was pregnant. They were other concerns entirely. So the ultrasound appointment was yesterday. Everything was fine of course. I feel better. Although, I did find out that I have a fibroid already...what's THAT all about...I'm only 35 for cry'n out loud....

So here's my thought process on the way home from the office...

I should call hubby and tell him the ultrasound showed that everything was fine. Wait. Today is April fools. OOOHHHHHH that would be cruel. But oh so funny. No I shouldn't do that. He could have a heart attack and that would leave me single...with 3 kids. But seeing the look on his face may just be worth it. I'll call him...no I'll text message him and leave him wondering....and better yet, I think he's in a meeting right now....OOOHHHHH that'll be good! He'll get the TM and turn all white and stammering as he's trying to be the cool, collected, confident, executive that he is....hehe.

So I texted him...."i'm pregnant"....my heart was pounding in anticipation. What's he doing? Is he messing his pants at this exact moment....right in front of a room full of people? No response. Shit, he probably looked at the calendar and thought "ha-ha"...he knows. Darn. That coulda been a perfectly good "gotcha".

2 Hours later he calls....."WWWHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!" Turns out he didn't read my message until after the meeting. Bummer! I tried like hell to keep it going but I can't lie with a straight face voice. I couldn't stop giggling at my cleverness...so instead I said "Honey, what day is it?.....April fools".

He responded with a sigh of relief and a hearty "OHHHHHHH....YOUUUUUUUUUUU SSUUUUCK" He told me his heart just stopped when he read the message and kept thinking...."no...that can't be...no...they must be wrong"....hehe. For those who don't know hubby got snipped 5 years ago.

That was fun!

I'm editing my post to add the following pictures for "Wordless Wednesday"...and to think that I was feeling a little bad for my cruel joke yesterday....

See this....

Oh I'm sorry...can't tell what it is?....here, lets get a little closer.....

closer?

Yeah!! That would be my husband's FIN.GER.NAIL.CLIP.PINGs left ever so neatly on my KIT.CHEN. TA.BLE!!!!!!!!

There must be an easier way to "tackle" this....

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

I have spent 80% of the waking hours of the past 2 days desperately trying to figure out how to post the video clips of Justin's and Brendan's state meet performances and events and can't remember ever being this frustrated. There has GOT to be an easier way. My computer is about to crash (as evidenced by the smoke billowing from my hard drive). I thought this would be as easy as plugging the camcorder in via USB cable and uploading them directly to my blog...yeah...right!

So here's the process I've gone through:

1. Tried putting the video on DVD directly from my computer....We have a DVD burner...no problem. But for some reason the camcorder wasn't connecting to the commputer...or maybe the computer wasn't recognizing the new device....K... maybe I can just upload them directly to my blog without DVD middleman....nope....so.....

2. Found the DVD and software program that came with the camcorder.....downloaded it thinking....AH yes! That must be it! Plugged in the USB cable....still not recognizing it.

3. Plan B....break out the DVdirect that I've had sitting here in the box untouched for the past 3 months. This spiffy contraption records directly from the device...no computer necessary. Read the directions..."K...got it...I'll have these video recorded in no time"....nope....we have the wrong DVDs....we have DVD+RW and we need DVD-RW....WTF IS THE DIFFERENCE!

4. Run to Walmart to get the correct DVDs....

5. Come home...plug in the camcorder....DVDirect is not recognizing the Camcorder....I'm thinking something is wrong with the USB cable....because how can this be that both the computer and the SONY DVDirect wont recognize my SONY camcorder. I unplugged and plugged the USB cable in over and over again hoping for a miracle and would you believe that miracle came on the 49th try....no I wasn't counting...but out of no where it just worked...didn't do anything different...just plugged the damn thing in. UGH!

6. It took a LOOOOOO.OOOO.OOOOng time to down load all the video onto DVD. Ok maybe my expectations were too high. It probably didn't take THAT long. But when you add in the frustration factor...it seemed like hours.

7. K....now I'll put the recorded DVD into the computer and upload them to my blog.....NOPE! Can't do that either! Or if you can I couldn't figure out how.

8. PLAN C.......SAVE SELECTED VIDEO CLIPS (can you sense my mounting frustration) ONTO YOU TUBE.... it just shouldn't be this difficult....So here I am Tuesday morning and I am STILL uploading these video clips onto youtube. 6 events x 2 boys = 12 video clips. Each video clip takes 30 minutes to upload (the clips are only 1-2 minutes each for crying out loud!!....WHY DOES THIS TAKE SO LONG!) My computer was totally freezing up last night and so I had to take a break for fear that my computer would blow up.

I'm sure I'm doing this the most ass backward way there is so if SOMEone out there can tell me what the easy way is I'd be forever grateful and indebted to your wealth of knowledge...

So for "Tackle It Tuesday" I finally uploaded my video clips....AND figured out my DVDirect....the clips of the boys state meet (see yesterday's post) are below....now I just pray they work because if not...I'm done!
