You don't know how long I have searched for one that doesn't have any type of cheese in it! Back in the day.....when my dad would go to the Italian store, he would bring home cannolis that were about twice the size they are today, both in length and diameter. One half would be filled with vanilla cream and the other, chocolate. The vanilla had mini chocolate chips and I believe both ends had the candied cherries to top them off! Since they were pre-stuffed, you couldn't let them lay around too long or they would get soggy. I like the ones with the ricotta filling, but unless you have tasted those, you have no idea what you are missing!<br />Again, thank you so much for sharing your recipe! :)Debbie Hnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1246580597308157976.post-70707500371125352762016-12-02T02:13:42.887-08:002016-12-02T02:13:42.887-08:00My Dad cut the aluminum legs on an old lawn chairs...My Dad cut the aluminum legs on an old lawn chairs then sanded the edges. I also use custard filling, and cut dowel sticks for the tubes. I have both, but she always used the wood ones, and I like them better.
